New Energy Works Timberframers to Unveil New Trade Show Booth at ABX

At the ArchitectureBoston Expo (ABX) tradeshow in November 2012, New Energy Works Timberframers will unveil a new booth with modern application of multiple types of joinery and reclaimed timber. In addition, the booth will feature their well-known double sawn curved timbers and reclaimed agricultural hardwoods paneling milled by their sister company Pioneer Millworks.

"We're excited to share the new display booth at 2012 ABX. It showcases our work with traditional materials and contemporary forms, featuring curved elements, reclaimed materials, and a mix of traditional and contemporary joinery techniques," said Mike Beganyi, New England Design and Project Coordinator for New Energy Works.

New Energy Works creates design, craft intensive, and lyrical timber frames throughout the USA using industrial, agricultural salvaged, and sustainably harvested timbers. Their new tradeshow booth features industrial Douglas fir timbers with sweeping curved connectors, timber end details, and an arched brace along with large imagery of past projects against a backdrop of reclaimed wood paneling. During ABX New Energy Works representatives will discuss the booth components which are connected using a variety of joinery including traditional mortise and tenon, straight housings, tapered housed joints, and a birds mouth joint. The entire booth frame and joinery is reversible for placement in any tradeshow venue.

"The new display booth offers examples of the work we have done with creative professionals in the Boston market. We have been working with Boston based designers and builders since 2005 and continue to build dynamic relationships that inspire our creativity and our craftsman to realize successful residential and commercial timber frame projects," continues Beganyi.

New Energy Works Timberframers have been designing and building environmentally responsible timber frames across the USA for nearly 30 years from their facilities in New York and Oregon.
