RunningShoes.com Hosts New Balance Race Day Giveaway

RunningShoes.com wants to motivate the masses to get RUNspired. How will the online running shoes superstore do it? They're asking runners to share favorite words of inspiration.

These inspiring words can be almost anything?from a favorite catchphrase to a song lyric or a totally insightful quote. Much like the New Balance running shoes motto, "Let's make excellent happen," the words should evoke that get-up-and-go spirit. They should be the kind of things you say to make those swelteringly hot or exceedingly dreary days seem like insignificant hurdles. Get ready to crank up that personal morale and get moving!

The person who shares the words that inspire us the most will win a race day getaway for two to Falmouth, Mass., including airfare and hotel accommodations for one night. Falmouth is a fabulous seaside town and historical Cape Cod summer resort destination. In addition to the airfare and lodging, the winner will receive two entries to the New Balance Falmouth Road Race.

On August 12, more than 11,000 runners are expected to participate in the New Balance Falmouth Road Race, which is now in its 40th year. Expected to draw more than 75,000 spectators, the road race will stretch seven miles from the Woods Hole Community Center through winding, tree-lined roads to a breathtaking flat area of beach that opens next to Martha's Vineyard Sound.

To enter, contestants should submit their RUNspiring words to the New Balance Race Day Giveaway application on RunningShoes.com's Facebook page. Finalists will be determined by voting. Entrants are encouraged to share their submission on Facebook and ask friends to vote. The inspiring words that receive the most votes will be selected on June 29, 2012. The final winner will be chosen by the staff at RunningShoes.com and announced on July 6, 2012. This giveaway is open to continental U.S. residents only, ages 18 and older.
